Tooth-Colored Fillings

Fillings are used to replace those parts of a tooth which have been damaged or lost due to trauma, decay or wear and tear. In the past, teeth were filled using dark amalgam fillings. Nowadays, these are rapidly being replaced with more natural-looking, tooth-colored dental fillings that are made of composite resin. Composite fillings can be made to match the color of the dentin in the teeth so that they look completely natural.

Tooth-colored fillings not only offer aesthetic advantages, but they are also stronger than their metal counterparts.
Metallic fillings or amalgams merely rest on a tooth and do not have the ability to bond with the tooth. With advancements in dentistry, a lot more has become known about the interface between the inner layer of the tooth, called the dentin, and the outermost, hard layer, called the enamel, and the bond between them. This has led to the discovery and development of fillings that create a stronger, more protected connection between the enamel and dentin and are much more comfortable than traditional fillings. Our high-quality, tooth-colored fillings recreate and restore your tooth structure in a way that it not only looks natural but also responds naturally, allowing forces from your bite to pass through the tooth easily and naturally.
